What to Expect During Your Visit

Your Consultation

We’ll start with a thorough consultation where our medical team reviews your goals, medical history, and creates a personalized treatment plan just for you. If you’re concerned about comfort, we can apply numbing cream about 30 minutes before your session.

During Your Treatment

Here’s what the actual treatment feels like: you’ll feel a quick cooling sensation from our Dynamic Cooling Device, followed by the laser pulse. Most patients describe it as a gentle rubber band snap - much more comfortable than traditional hair removal methods you might be used to.

Treatment times vary depending on the area: a quick upper lip session takes about 5 minutes, while full legs take 45-60 minutes. The cooling system works continuously, so you stay comfortable throughout, and most patients don’t need any anesthesia.

Preparing for Your Treatment

To get the best results from your session, here’s what we recommend:

• Stay out of the sun for 4-6 weeks beforehand (no tanning beds either!)
• Keep shaving, but stop waxing or plucking 4 weeks before your appointment - we need the hair follicle intact
• Shave the treatment area 2-3 days before your visit
• Let us know about any medications you’re taking, especially those that make you sensitive to light
• Skip the lotions and perfumes on treatment day - clean skin works best
• Stay hydrated and well-rested - it helps your skin heal better

Taking Care of Your Skin Afterward

Your skin might look a little pink or feel slightly swollen right after treatment - this is completely normal and usually goes away within a few hours.

Here’s how to care for your treated skin:

• Apply aloe vera or hydrocortisone cream if you need extra comfort
• Use sunscreen religiously (SPF 30 or higher) on treated areas - your skin will be more sensitive
• Take cool showers and skip the gym for 24 hours - heat and sweat aren’t your friends right now
• Don’t pick or scratch the treated area, even if it feels a bit itchy
• Watch the hair fall out naturally over the next 2-3 weeks - this shedding means it’s working!

• If you’ve used Accutane, you’ll need to be off it for at least 6 months first
